Salary: $15.00 to $17.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications however we normally start new hires at the bottom wage

Job Posting: Labor and Employment Specialist Career Coach – UAACOG WIOA Program
Case management constitutes about 80% of your job and case management includes but is not limited to:
o Ability to work in a virtual environment
o Ability to assess a customer’s strengths and challenges to determine suitability for the program using sound judgement and reason.
o Ability to provide basic career counseling services for customers on difficult subjects including but not limited to: drug use, hygiene, soft job skills and understanding when a referral to more intensive and professional counseling services is justified.
o High organization skills
o High attention to detail
o Ability to separate yourself from your customer’s challenges
o Develop employability plans
o Develop training plans
o Ability to follow forms and get required paperwork done in a timely manner
o Computer proficiency
Microsoft Office products
Ability to work with Google Drive and all G Suite components
o Ability to write clear and concise case notes
o Within 6 months you will have an established caseload of 50+
o Ability to develop and grow partnerships
o Ability to develop and grow employment opportunities
o Ability to speak in front of people
o Ability to communicate with other team members
o Communicate any questions, concerns and feedback appropriately
Ability to learn quickly, retain what you have learned and move on
o Ability to read, comprehend and follow policies and procedures
o Ability to utilize existing technology
Prior experience with government funded programs
Strong leadership qualities
Ability to work with customers from a variety of professional, cultural, social and economic backgrounds
Ability to connect with and work with younger individuals ages 14 and up
Ability to work well in a team setting or independently as an individual
Ability to design and deliver workshops and presentations
Required high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate (GED)
Preferred associates or higher
Applicable certifications for employment related professions as an example: Certified Professional Resume Writer
Working on a computer several hours a day
Ability to keyboard at a rate approximately 30 WPM
This is a desk job and we do offer standing desks however you will either be sitting or standing at a desk for up to 8 hours per day.
Occasional lifting of 10 to 20 pounds
Main location is Cañon City , CO however we serve four counties in the Upper Arkansas Sub-Area, Chaffee, Park, Custer and Fremont
Travel to the four counties above is required as needed
Travel in and out of the state is required on occasion
Busy office at times need to be able to focus with a fair amount of background noise: phones ringing, people talking, machines in use etc.
Basic Job Description and additional requirements:
Hours: Permanent position, full time 40 hours a week
Work days & hours: Monday through Friday hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Some weekends and odd hours may be required from time to time. Generally weekends and major holidays off.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the Upper Arkansas Sub-Area (listed above)
